PROFECIAS SE CUMPRINDO EM ISRAEL? O milagre da tamareira de 2000 anos!
0Shalom and welcome back to ‘Israel with Aline!’ Today we’re going to look at Bible prophecies that are being fulfilled today we’re going to learn about a tree from Jesus’ time that came back to life, and we’re going to talk about Ezekiel’s Prophecy of the Dry Bones. So if you’re ready, let’s get started! To understand how prophecies are being fulfilled in our days, we have to go back to the past, in Biblical times the land of Israel was wonderful! There was a lot of agriculture, most of the people of Israel lived here, in their land. They had colossal buildings and even had a peak period of the Kings of Israel three thousand years ago with King David and King Solomon. But everything was going to change two thousand years ago and so we are here today at the ruins of Masada to tell the end of the time of Israel. Masada is one of the most impressive and important sites in Israel’s history, here is literally the beginning of the end, but let’s start the story a little earlier. The Romans a little over two thousand years ago conquered Israel and called it the Province Iudaea, the Judean Province. And they will begin to oppress the province and the Jews who lived here with taxes, with a very big religious oppression and influence everything in the daily life of the population. And the population will get tired, and say, “we want to be free as we were in the time of King David and King Solomon.” And a great rebellion is declared, called “The Great Jewish Rebellion.” Unfortunately this rebellion is going to be met with a very big war by the Romans the Romans are going to destroy city after city from the North to the South of Israel, they k1lled, enslaved and expelled most of the population. And where will the last free Jews be?
Here in Masada. And what happened to the last free Jews in the land of Israel? There were about a thousand people and they were all here on top of the mountain of Masada. For sure it was a very difficult time for them, they represented the last freedom, the last hope of all the people of Israel. But the Romans were not going to allow any Jew to remain free. And what they’re going to do is they’re going to build Roman military bases around the mountain here and they get ready to attack the mountain, they build a gigantic project a ramp that goes all the way up here and they actually go up to Masada to take k1ll and enslave these last Jews. But when they get up here, what they find is a big surprise; they find that these last thousand Jews have decided to take their own lives and not surrender to the Romans. We know this also because of the words that have been immortalized in the book of Flavius Josephus, let’s now listen to the words of Eleazar Ben Yair, the head of the rebellion and what was done here in Masada: “Since we long ago resolved not to become slaves to the Romans, and to anyone else but the Creator. By this I mean that the Romans kept us under their power while we were alive; we were the first to rebel against them, and we are the last to fight against them. I cannot help but consider this as a favor that God has granted us, that it is still in our power to die bravely, in a state of freedom, which did not occur with the others who were conquered by surprise. We can still die gloriously: together, beside our dear friends. Let our wives die before they suffer any kind of abuse, and our children before they experience slavery; and after killing them, let us bestow this glory upon each other in freedom, as an excellent funerary monument to ourselves. But first let’s destroy our money and the fortress by fire; for I am sure that this will be a terrible stroke for the Romans, they will not be able to grab our bodies nor our wealth. We will dispose of everything except our provisions and food; for they will be witnesses when we are dead that we were not overcome by necessity, but according to our original resolution: that we preferred death to slavery.” The War of the Jews VII – Flavius Josephus And look how impressive, precisely in these food stores that were not burned begins the fulfillment of our Bible prophecy; the people of that time did not know but their role was fundamental to the history of Israel. And to help us better understand how all this is happening, we are going to meet with a friend here from the channel, Shlomi Lobaton. So guys, if you are as eager to know this story as I am, let’s go! Shalom Shlomi! [Shlomi] Shalom, hi thanks! Guys everyone here say shalom, say a big hello to Shlomi who is back on the channel today. And we are here at the food stores, here the rebels have put literally tons of food to prepare for the battle and for the war that actually happened. What happened in this place? [Shlomi] The rebels destroyed all of Massada and left only the food stores intact, because they wanted to prove that they didn’t starve to death, that they had plenty of food. That is, that they didn’t lack anything. And when they dug here, when the archeologists came here, what did they found inside this warehouse? [Shlomi] The finds here are very important and interesting, jars were found with wine, with olive oil, and the most important: a jar with dates was found, dates were part of the abundance of that time, and this connects us to what we are going to talk about today. So guys, he has already started here talking about the dates that are really linked to our prophecy, and the dates are really linked many times to the Bible, one of the times that I find most beautiful is that the Land of Israel is written that it flows with “milk and honey”.The milk guys, it’s not cow’s milk, it’s goat’s milk. And the honey is honey from? [Shlomi] Dates! Dates, exactly! Dates at that time were so sweet and so delicious and were such an important part of people’s diet, the psalmists even speak of the dates of the land of Israel. But unfortunately these dates have been extinct, so the dates that we eat today in Israel are not the same dates that they had in Jesus’ time. And here, when they did archeological excavations, they found this jar with these date seeds from that time, and no doubt the archeologists were amazed! Shlomi also accompanies many groups of archeologists here in the region, and tells us a little bit, where do you take these archeologists? [Shlomi]I guide researchers inside caves, because many rebels hid in caves. And this was nothing new, King David himself hid in a cave when he fled from Saul. In ancient times, people hid with their treasures in caves. So the caves were used a lot here in the region by the Rebels, so Massada is the center of the Rebels but they had many here in the region, they will leave us many archaeological remains among them these dried dates and also parchments in the remains of the Synagogue which is where we are going. Wow, it is really impressive to be in a synagogue that is almost two thousand years old! And many archeological finds have been found here, what especially have we found here? [Shlomi] Scrolls have been found here, among them Ezekiel 37, which is the prophecy of the valley of dry bones. Look how the story connects: of all the scrolls that these Rebels could bring here they brought precisely the Valley of Dry Bones. And other scrolls were found, but the others were not so important, they were not preserved. The one that has been preserved is precisely the one from the Valley of Dry Bones, which we will now connect with the dates. And now we will hear the prophecy: “The hand of the LORD was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “Sovereign LORD, you alone know.” Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath “enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.'” So I prophesied as I was commanded Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel.” Ezekiel 37:1-6, 10-12 And indeed the land of Israel became like a valley of dry bones after the slaughter by the Romans. And these dried dates that are connected to the prophecy of the dry bones, where are they found today? [Shlomi] These dried dates are found in Keturá, which is next to Eilat, a two and a half hour drive from here. Guys there will be a lot of road today but it will be worth it, even in this more than 104 degree sun it will be worth it, so thank you Shlomi and let’s go?! [Shlomi] Thank you, let’s go! Let’s get started! So the archeologists starting in 1965 started to find these date seeds which is fantastic, but they didn’t have much to do with it, they took them and put them in deposits at Bar-Ilan University, far away from here and these seeds stayed there for 40 years in the deposits sitting in a box, there cataloged but sitting in a deposit. And after 40 years some people started to have ideas: people who knew the Bible and who knew the Bible prophecies, including the dry bones prophecy; that all the dry, all the death of all the destruction would come back to life. And they started to have a “crazy idea” or at least most people at the time thought it would be a crazy idea to take these seeds and try to make them sprout. So they took the seeds from the university and brought them here, to the middle of the desert and tried to make them grow. And now what we’re going to do together is go and see if they really managed to do something with these seeds after two thousand years, shall we? [Shlomi] Come on! [Shlomi] Wow, what a thrill! This is the tree that was born from the two-thousand-year-old seed! “The righteous shall flourish like the date palm tree;” (Psalms 92:12) “How many are your works, O Lord!” (Psalms 104:24) They took something that was dry and lifeless and took life from it! It came back to life and something new was created! It’s really amazing! We are in front of a miracle: a two thousand year old seed found in the middle of the desert nobody, not even the archeologists themselves, had any faith that this could one day grow and they managed to take these seeds and out of all the seeds, one seed they managed to make sprout and transformed into this gigantic tree that we are seeing here. There is only one problem: in 2005 when they planted the tree, they didn’t know if it would be male or female, dates are always either one or the other. So they planted it hoping it would be female because only females bear fruit, and they planted it in 2005 and finally in 2011 when the tree was already big, it started to bloom and then they found out that the tree was male! Exactly and they called him Methuselah, but that means that they managed to bring to life a two thousand year old tree but because it was male and only had one, they couldn’t bring fruits. Or at least not yet, we will continue the story. But before we continue the story I want to meet with Elaine who is the creator of this whole project, she is the one who started to make all this happen, she is literally Methuselah’s mother we can say. We are now with Elaine Solowey, the creator of this fantastic project and she is going to tell us a little bit about everything that is happening here. Elaine, please tell us how the ideia to sprout two thousand years old seed became true? [Elaine] Actually it was not my ideia at all, it was the ideia of Dr. Sara Sallon, of Hadassah Center. She hdad read an article where a Lotus seed have been sprouted after fifteen hundred years and she said: “why shouldn’t we try with some of our seeds?” So she got me some seeds, I planted them and one came up. It is right here, is a big boy now, his name is Methuselah. So Methuselah, I mean, he who lived 969 years in the Bible, who is Noah’s grandfather, is a good tribute really to Methuselah. [Elaine] But we were not sure it was a boy. So they planted in 2005 only one seed was born, and then only in 2011 when it started to bloom they found out if it was a boy or a girl, and they found out exactly that Methuselah was a boy and that it could not bear fruit. So you have one two thousand year old tree and it could not give fruits, so what you did? [Elaine] We actually looked for more seeds and Sarah found a very nice fellow who was working very closely with the caves system in the Dead Sea area and he gave her the ability to run through all these collections of seeds and she picked 40 perfect seeds for me. And for them we got seven more trees and two of them turned out to be female. So you have in total seven trees? [Elaine] Yes. So they have seven trees here, so it is not an isolated phenomenon of a tree that was reborn, but seven trees that were reborn. Two of them are females, we will see one of them in a moment to know a little more. And Elaine, seeing the success of this project, took very old seeds, ancient seeds from other regions and tried to plant them here. So the seeds from other areas that you tried to propagate here, what happened? [Elaine] Nothing. [Elaine] They were totally dry and dead and I can’t do anything with them at all. How many of them you tried from other areas? [Elaine] I’ve tried all kinds of seeds, I’ve tried wheat, olives, grapes, barley. Dozens or hundreds of seeds? [Elaine] Hundreds of them, nothing has came up. So guys, look at hundreds of seeds and nothing, and look at the success of the dates, which are coming back to life, you can see that there is really something special here. [Elaine] I really do believe that the Dead Sea is a special area. I believe it too! So guys, there are wonderful things here in Israel that are still unknown, Elaine’s project here is really a project that is worth coming to see and to see the beginning of this prophecy being fulfilled, but what does all this have to do with the prophecy of the Valley of Dry Bones that is in Ezekiel 37? The Prophecy tells us of a dry valley, full of bones and no life, and this valley slowly comes back to life. Ezekiel 2600 years ago prophesies about this and indeed the land of Israel is going to be abandoned in the year 70 after Christ the Romans destroy Israel destroy agriculture and Israel will be abandoned. The dates that were eaten then will even become extinct, most of the people of Israel will be sent into exile and will suffer greatly in exile. Anyone who took and read this prophecy for most of the last two thousand years would have no way of believing that this would actually come true. They had anti-Jewish governments here that didn’t allow immigration, Israel had diseases, it had swamps, it had deserts, it had no life, it had no agriculture really Israel was a land that people looked at and said “how can this land be blessed, this is a valley of dry bones here.” Everything begins to change in 1948 when Israel declared its independence and the “Kibbutz Galluiot” begins, the Jews, the people of Israel who were scattered all over the world begin to return. And that in itself is already a prophecy; God promises to bring back his people from the ends of the earth. “In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the surviving remnant of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt, from Upper Egypt, from Cush, “from Elam, from Babylonia, from Hamath and from the islands of the Mediterranean. He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; he will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth.” Isaiah 11:11-12 The wilderness in Israel begins to flourish as you are seeing here and that too is a prophecy. The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; they will see the glory of the LORD, the splendor of our God.” Isaiah 35:1-2 And the Bible tells us that the land of Israel flows with milk and honey, and the prophecies cannot be complete without the land having milk and honey, the milk at that time was from goats and we have goats in Israel to this day but the honey is not bee honey but date honey! Because dates in Jesus’ time were sweet like honey. And so, when we come here and think about the fulfillment of the prophecies, we need the honey of the Bible, the dates of two thousand years ago. They actually succeeded in making a two thousand year old tree come back to life, but we need more than one, we need the female date palms so that we can have the fruit and they succeeded in 2014 in planting new seeds and creating more date palms, and we will see them right here, come with me! [Shlomi] They took Methuselah’s pollen and pollinated this millennial date palm called Hannah, and thus bore fruit. In 2020 was the first time that Ana bore fruit. And year after year, she bears more and more. Look how new, how recent this phenomenon is, 2020! I mean, the land that flows with milk and honey returned from the year 2020 to actually flow honey, at first a little bit and then more and more, in the first year there were only 110 dates, now there are more, but still the quantity is limited. And if I can be very honest with you, my dream is to taste one of these dates, I mean, to taste the same as the person who wrote the Psalms, that King David when he wrote the Psalms talks about the honey of dates and I really want to try and taste it and I know that Elaine’s lab has it, I don’t know if she will let us taste it or not, but I really want to. And even if I don’t succeed, just being here, being on the spot and being able to see the fulfillment of this biblical prophecy is exciting. But let’s go to the lab together now, come on. Guys, we are now in Elaine’s lab here, you can see all the equipment and she just went to the fridge and she brought a little bag. What do we have here? [Elaine] We have Methuselah seeds from this year. So, guys, these are this year’s dates. They are the seeds of the fruits of the two thousand years old tree? [Elaine] Yes. Methuselah polinated Hannah wich is our tree here, and we have these dates So these are literally the fruits of Methuselah with Hannah. Can I try one? [Elaine] Yes, please. And we need the pips. We are going to give the seed back because here folks each one of these is really a treasure, [Elaine] Sure, try it. They taste like honey. Hm, it tastes like honey! Just the land of Israel flowing with milk and honey! And now that we have tasted the dates from two thousand years ago, we understand, let me keep the seed here for her, just like she asked. So, guys, only these are the ones I can really eat because they are counted, It’s amazing. [Elaine] I’m very glad they tasted good. [laughs] After so much work I am really happy that they taste so wonderful! Thank you for letting me literally taste history! [Elaine] You’re welcome, very much! So they are going to be sold here too, in the next few years they will have the little boxes here with some dates for sale but here we are having in a unique way and God willing, Hannah, Methuselah, these are the first dates; God willing hey will manage to multiply, fructify and multiply them really. So thank you very much! [Elaine] You’re very welcome! And now I’m in front of Adam, the name of one of these six millennial trees that came back to life, literally trees that were from Jesus’ time and some even a little bit earlier that came back to life, and so I want to talk to you about the prophecy of the Valley of Dry Bones. When they found the parchment of the Valley of Dry Bones in Masada, right next to it those seeds were found and those seeds began to come back to life and not only those seeds, but all of Israel! For one thousand nine hundred years, from the time of the destruction of Masada until modern times, Israel was destroyed and desolate and the Jews were scattered all over the world. And since then so much has changed; the people have begun to return to their land, the desert to flourish, the land returned to flow the honey of biblical times. And in my opinion, the Valley of Dry Bones also began to be reborn, and look how much life and wonder there is in Israel today, without a doubt we live in a very privileged period of history! For thousands of years, the people of Israel looked at Jerusalem and Israel, at the “nothingness” they had here and prayed: “Leshana Habaa b’Yerushalaim”, “next year in Jerusalem”, and they prayed and cried for a desolate land. And after so much suffering, after the people of Israel had gone through so much, so many persecutions, the H0locaust, the expulsion of the Jews from Spain, from Portugal and so many other events, finally the people returned to their land and the bones that were dry came back to life and that is why I feel very privileged today to be here on this day telling you this story and I want to thank with all my heart Shlomi who came with us, who brought us this far, so thank you very much, Shlomi!
