So a lot of people have this be able to survive next year all their political nature have been known for the traffic going from one party to the other so every political do some people have joined ADC it’s okay it’s not the first time they have joined you take for example it is even there it up. Must up your change it9. You forgot. No, you forgot. No. Is that correct? control. We ask him now what happened to him. It’s not correct. Is that not correct? Then what happened? He moved to APC. It’s not correct for NPC again. He came out to Philipp just to get every time then for so so so let me tell you I don’t know if I hear a I was a now as a dad. I can fing for whatever I want. Just how can you tell me as your son? You have made this history from one party to almost beat something. Yes, bro. Wow. rescued. Oh god. Rescue what? Who are you for 8 years? You are leaving for 8 years. You are the term. What happened? Honorable minister, your brow seems to be with the former vice president. No, no, no. I’m taking one by one. Are you are you undermining just under me? Yes. I I I went a few hours you ask why you have a coation I said you call coalition because when I move from one party to the other that means well you have only taken one person I’m just suspending I will take another person are you undermining the the the group of people who have left you don’t forget that members of the APC have also left some people have left the APC and are also a part of this ADC But what we are saying look for our political history people one party to the party to the other party that does not mean coalition when they from multiple parties which one listen PDP some people left other parties and join PDP some people left BDP and join APC some people because of interest or the other why coalition for what’s to rescue. If it’s not a coalition, what would you call it? You are the one who gave them I said people join a party with one party they call ADC. Let me tell you why they have to do that. It is difficult now for them to have it in PDP. What this has to do with presidential ambition? Can I get my ticket? The way PDP is now it’s not likely that we will get ticket is not comfortable. Then he goes to tell you let’s come to the coalition against is not correct. It is because he cannot get the presentation ticket under PDP minister. How do you see the opposition coalition? The coalition. The coalition coalition. Yes. The coalition. Coalition of the coalition. ADC. Listen. Listen. If you say nocturn from one party to the other. So every everybody go into coalition. Everybody go into the coalition. Everybody see if you said some people have joined ADC it’s okay this is not the first time they have done new take for example it is in it this what you can’t change it had been 1999 you forgot no you forgot no passenger have problem with you is that correct you join is control. And you know now now what happened to him after he came out to Is that not correct? What happened? He moved again to ABC from ABC again. He came back to Philipp just to get ticket for [Music] so so can you tell I don’t gave me a son. How is it now? As a dad, I hope for whatever it wants. So just how can you tell him as your son? You have made this history from one party till I almost beat something. Yes. How? Rescue what? Who are you for 8 years? You are sleeping for 8 years. You are determined. Honorable minister, your grow seems to be with the former vice president. No, no, no. I’m taking one by one. Are you are you undermining no allow me? Yes. You I ask you about coalition. I said it’s called coalition because when I move from one party to the other that you have only taken one person. I I’m just explaining. I will take another person. Are you undermining the the the group of people who have left? No, don’t forget that members of the APC have also left. Some people have left the APC and are also a part of this ADC. That’s what we are saying. Look for our political history. People party to the party to the other party. That does not mean coalition. when they from multiple parties which listen PDP some people left other parties and join PDP some people left PDP and join APC some people are not leaving APC because of one interest or the other ask me what I got coalition for what’s the rescue if it’s not a coalition what would you call it you are the one I said people join a party people join what party they ADC let me tell you why do they have to do that it is difficult now for them to have it in PDP what this has to do with preial ambition can I get my ticket the way PDP is now it’s not likely that we will get ticket is not comfortable then he goes to tell you let’s come let’s do in Niger Niger state with the radio station and the threat of governor bag on the radio ation on the issue of rights and uh what the law says the the place of the NBC which is the uh the regulator and whether or not an executive governor could give such a threat in shutting down a media organization in a democracy. No, there’s no such law that allows a governor to close down a radio station. Uh I I I think this uh when I read it, I thought it was a carryover from the days of military dictatorship and our governors will have to appreciate that any policy, any announcement made by them uh is in concernance with the constitution and other laws of the land. No governor, not even the president can order the closure of a radio station and so arrogance of power is alien to constitutional government and therefore the governor of Niger state. He should be properly advised to familiarize himself with the provisions of the con. I say that without any attempt to embarrass him. The last time I think he did order that but if you had a train there or whatever you should be arrested and have you there I mean you know and that’s not allowed. It’s not allowed. So the governor is advised as soon as possible to reorder I mean to reopen the radio station that had been legally closed down. I understand that it’s still operating but the threat is there. And the minister of information has since respondent responded. But I mean it’s good to clear this so that people will know what is right under the law so that it doesn’t become a trend when someone wakes up in the morning slap their own waste and say shut down that media organization in a democracy and and I say that um under section 22 of the constitution and in fact in our constitution Mr. Fano without having to to adise to adise the media man every other profession even the legal profession is not is not being catered for as the media professional uh there is a specific uh provision of the law about the role of the media holding the government accountable to the Nigerian people section 22 of the Nigerian constitution I’m not sure there is any profession under uh in the constitution that is being g so as that And the the word there the actual word is shall I mean that it gives the media the power to do his job and his duty. So I wonder so it’s good for you to mention so that uh executives rather now on the future will not think that they have the priority to be able to shut down or threat media organization. except let me take you accept to advice owners of media houses including your own which have been shut down a couple of time to also learn to challenge authoritarian rule to challenge constitution and act. So we expect the owners of the radio station to have gone to court by now so that the governor can know the limits of his power and I mean other governors too otherwise It’s going to be repeated tomorrow. This is about issue of balance and what it potent future of this country. Mr. Far, you hear saying I will only do one term. Peter said I will do one term. What comes to your mind as ahead of 2027? Because this conversation will go on and the average person needs to be able to make a decision as to what the politicians are saying what this means in terms of balance of power. As far as the electoral act of Nigeria, electoral 2022 is concerned. The ongoing electionary campaign is illegal. Put totally illegal. It’s also diversionary because what Nigerians expect now what the law provides for is governance of the country without disruption. So it’s not time yet to campaign and I do hope that INC independent national electoral commission will draw the attention of politicians including the governor I mean including those who constitute the government to the relevant provisions of the electoral act that there is no provision yet there is no room yet for campaigning any Nigerian 2 years ahead of election it’s not part of our law in this if the people in power want to amend the law that should be done must take politicians out of the cocoon of ethnicity religion and other promotion considerations we must address the problems that are confronting our people if you say you want to replace those who are in power. What is your solution to the electricity crisis, crisis in the education sector, bad roads in the country and other problems confronting Nigeria as a nation. It’s not just enough to say I will be in power for 4 years. I’ll be in power for 8 years. What do you want to do there? And for those who are in power, you have a greater responsibility to concentrate on governance. I consult with the people who respect to your policies of man. I’m going to reth without going through the constitution now where individuals are naming streets uh local government development areas are naming streets and this is the exclusive duty conferred on local governments in the country local government that are known to the constitution. So we must ensure that this country is run on the basis of rule of law and that’s not what is going on now. You have elections in 2027 almost 3 or 6 months ago you know electionary campaign has started in the country. So when is the government going to govern the world? So and that is why the law has set out when electionary and can begin when it can end well it cannot be a a business of four years. President directed the governors go and wet the grass. What do you make of that statement? Well, uh I I think the president was asking the APC governors uh to wet the ground more which implies that uh some wetting of the ground has taken place. But as far as the masses of our people are concerned, things are getting tougher by the day because of the harsh economic uh h crisis in the country which the president recognized on that occasion that Nigerians in the h all over the country are complaining uh that things are getting tougher for them and therefore the president was appealing to all the governors APC governors to wet the ground more with profound respect. I I I think the matter has gone beyond appealing to governors and other stakeholders in the system voting 32 billion naira 32.7 billion naira to take care of over 133 million multi-dimensionally poor people and so that is why we’re asking the government regards to the fact that 469 members of the national assembly Apart from their salaries, salaries of 21 million to the senator per month, 15 million to a house of rep member per month. They also inserted into the 2025 budget, I mean 469 members of the National Assembly, 11,000 item valued at 6.9 trillion naira. And that is why I’m saying there can be no basis not to allocate at least 5 trillion this year to address increasing poverty in the land kos that we have of how many Nigerians over 130 million Nigerians in multi-dimensional poverty uh the how many people that we’re going to uh take out of poverty how do we independently hold the government to account on these figures. How do we determine who is in poverty? How when are they out of poverty? How do we do that in the first place? Because of the religious implementation of neoliberal policies by the government. Poverty is on the ascendancy. That will require a review by the government of these policies. You cannot be addressing a com inequality in a country while you are handing over the resources of the country to a few a few people in what they call privatization. You cannot be addressing income inequality in a country where some people and salaries in millions they go abroad collect extra gold engage in all manners of frivolous troops in such a situation. You cannot but address the crisis of poverty. Hello and uh you know we have different stakeholder in the bar in this bar some people are secret in the bar and uh some stakeholders It doesn’t matter where you belong. Okay. Anyway, um welcome to this particular discussion. uh came out to say that he had never lost any uh contest to get the presidential ticket in any party where he belonged even if it’s the coalition or the the party before the coalition that each time he goes in for primary he gets it out of too much selfbelief or uh nobody come close when it come to dish out the cash number one is wrong he’s very wrong he contested against B in 2014 and he lost wfully Mr. Milo and they all beat him very well. So he lost against and in 201 platform. Could he be partial? No. No. He didn’t lose. It was in 2007 that they gave him what’s it called in in ACL. ACL. Then in 2011 they gave the battle. He contested under PDP. Could he could he be a case of partial or what I I I think I think you know say what he said to the journalist based on what he had done with the present coalition. You remember short while ago he said that Tonobu is a very wicked person that Tobu never wanted to be president at all cost that after putting the coalition together and made David M the chairman from North Central and brought in from the southwest to be secretary Tugu had come to bring what’s his name from the former minister of humanitarian service who is from PL state to be the chairman of APC which is the North Central. He said this could be wickedness on the part of him, you know, doing everything possible to deprive him to to become a president and make him to be the to go into the book of record as the highest election. So he said what he said because he felt he had done his own work. That is why the coalition will say that oh we follow the process we organize free and fair primaries whoever that you know pick the ticket for that person as a flag bearer you know because they have agenda and that is why we have sent the money over and over that person of should be wary of the present coalition the way it is because the coalition as it is is towards you know so these are the the the indices And this is what gave him the you know the the confident because he repeated it in in 2022 when he wked contested against him. Wikked thought was his friend in the last minute not only stepped up for he followers. You understand this to go vote for and this is and you national and call the hero of the night. So this is this thing is what is going to play out in the ADC. That’s why he say you know I have not lost a party presidential ticket because I will do my homework. I’ve done my homework already. The party presidential ticket is not the end. That’s just the first point. It’s just the first point. So which presidency has he won from 2007 2011 2015 2018 he never win any for him achievement of becoming flag bearer bearer is what he’s talking about maybe is using it to enrich his pocket because during campaign people bring a lot of money those money go to his pocket well he’s the controller of those money maj no which Can you give her dollar? You see during camping period you know we are we are we have some inside information number one from all the governors money come then from all the party loyal this money come from volunteers volunteers whether from Nigeria or abroad we have some information how money come in to the president so in addition to what you said that maybe he is to enrich himself I want to agree with him in a frame perspective. You know is a friend of holu our sitting president have so much business interest that are being threatened. I think I think what he’s doing to you know for what do you call this soft survival you know security like you said job security soft landing and to you know to protect his business if he gets the ticket and there will be you know just like what happened in PDP there will be disenchantment and you know some people walk away from the you know from the coalition I said to let like said so as analyze let the presidency continue to remain the sat for just you know another four years after7 so that will enable Trump to complete his ten and to go with financial reward you see what he saying is partially true because there will be financial reward either either from volunteer or the governor and all that it could even be from the government let me talk a little bit about what those are men that turn this country into he’s living in this mansion is telling that’s how they told us to endure women and look at where we are now you’re telling us to endure so another one is coming endure that’s what that’s what the US government the mission in Nigeria said yesterday that they said we going the the le politicians are living a lying lavish life but they asking Nigerian masses to tighten their belt it’s the same thing that has repeated if we can tolerate for 8 years why can’t we change Nigeria history of Niger truly maybe that is most of the time we need to be calling about these men that don’t have the intention of your people at heart. You see, most of them they talk about north and south. Nigeria don’t care about north and south. Nigerian care about their stomach. Nigerian care about safety. Nigerian care about security. I can tell you for free that if you are going from there Euroba that live in they know as their home. There are a lot of people that live in Zara. They from Edo there are a lot of houses that they have lived in they were born in they become I know fan in my village when we were born that year they were they grow they become big fan we never knew fan to be king all we want is economic importance and relevance I don’t know if you understand now they divide us according to religion ethnicity tribalism and all that those ities they used to give. Now we don’t want that anymore. I’m sure you [Music] said that’s not what we want. What we want is now we want to feed our stomach and move within the borders of Nigeria in safety. So what do we want in conclusion? I want us to look at article statement like I have never lost being the flag bearer of a party. I want us to look at it holistically. Is it talking from a point where he believed that ADC is for him or is it sounding like he made ADC he sponsored ADC so therefore is a smooth ride for him. I want us to look at it. This statement is less with pride or it less with uh I know myself. I know what I can do. It’s less with pride. Okay. from what Phil said just now put here and then bring knife I don’t I don’t know if you understand so I know where to cut from bring from what I know of David M he said he has retired for politics all of a sudden he came out from retirement so so as a result of primary so you see in addition you know this beer power the man who is paying for the beer that we are drinking we we determine How many bottles of I get actually apart from you because I sign my own bottle of water. Yeah, but I brought you to this paper. I I only [Music] get money. So the man who pay for the beer when he goes out with his men determine when they will stop drinking. M so so also it is with ADC the man who assemble or the men will be in leadership of the ADC cannot be shaken when there will be time to take a decision who will be the flag bearing so it is out of pride arrogance and selfences that have done it I know it every other one they all truth compared to man Yeah. So, and again, he has the cap the capacity of assembling the money bag when it comes to primaries. I’m not sure who you’re going to be supporting at the during the elections in 2027. Well, we don’t know who’s running yet, do we? Because I know that um you had this um I don’t know if it’s a relationship or you had supported Peter B. Yes. And now is the correlation. People say that Artiko perhaps will be president. Would you like to see him become vice president? Does he still have your support? Let’s go back to dream count. But but I think what I will say about your question and I don’t you know part of the reason I don’t like to speak speculatively about things I’m not sure of. So we don’t know who’s who’s a candidate. But I will say that my support for PB right is something that I I do not hesitate to proclaim or talk about because I can tell you what it is rooted in. It’s rooted my support for PB is rooted in my love for this country. It’s rooted in my belief that with the right leader we can be better than we are. We can create a country where people feel included. A country that is not corrupt and does not tolerate corruption. Again, if you have the leader who’s setting the tone, it makes all the difference. And and I think that he’s also a person who um he doesn’t he doesn’t need to be president. He wants to be because he cares about Nigeria, but he doesn’t need to be. And that is a very important distinction. The people who are desperate to become president, not because they have um any good intentions for the country, but because of their own personal egos. And I think that distinction is so important because you choose the right leader and you realize it’s not about him for it’s never been about him and even as as a person his personality I think is very telling. He’s one of the simplest men I have ever known and I’ve known him for many years and he’s genuine and consistent. You know the person I knew 15 years ago is still the simplest in terms of his values and he’s very curious. he wants to learn and I think that’s such a good quality to have in a leader and also I mean there’s a wonderful humility we we lack that in this country there’s a sense I think in Pitoi that he’s accountable to the people he doesn’t think that somehow he will lord it over people is not a person who expects you to thank him for doing his job as a leader because to him it’s his job and so these are the reasons that I support him and that I will continue to support him in whatever way I I I can but I don’t want to talk in specifics about how will I feel if he’s not a presidential candidate. I don’t want to think about that yet because we don’t know. We don’t know what will happen. [Music] We thank you for partnering with us on the fight for a better Nigeria for a fight to kick away corruption out of our system and to ensure that there is good governance in the land. Um we have just filed a suit in the federal high court suit number 1580 2025 where we are seeking out of mandamus to compare the EFCC the EFCC to include we are seeking order of mandamus to ensure that EFCC includes Mr. Taku who was the former executive vice chairman, executive vice president of NNPCL um downstream who precided over the affairs of uh the NMPC downstream and was in charge of the fraudulent turnaround maintenance of andot refineries where over 3 billion dollars have been spent almost 5 to6 trillion naira of taxpayers money while Nigerians are suffering crawling in hunger, anguishing in poverty and um we have also we also seeking to a lot of mand to compel the president of the federal republic of Nigeria while we also call on the president to immediately suspend Mr. Dr. as the executive uh chair as the executive director finance of the LNPCL based on the fraud he perpetuated and the fraud he precided over as the executive vice chairman stream during the acquisition of OVL energy energy by NNPC. Of course, you know that OVL Energy was purportedly acquired by NNPCA and over 325 million was reportedly paid in a kind of deal that was shrouded in complicated bying in a complicated secrecy. The corruption in this country that has dealt with Nigerians that have kept Nigerians in a poverty. This man precided over it and um um the NBC reportly purportedly acquired OV OVH Energy and they have taken over the entire retail outlet of NBC and regrettably a foreigner is in uh in charge of OV energy and the foreigner is now in charge of our total retail market NMBBC retail market in this country and that is you see what corruption is dealing on Nigerian. So we are in this court to seek to compel EFCC. EFCC cannot be fighting corruption and also scratching corruption. FCC cannot be seen to be condoning corruption in the name of fighting corruption. You are probing the turnaround or the purported turnaround maintenance of war and refineries where over 5 trillion of taxpayers money has been spent and bezled and Nigerians are suffering in poverty. People cannot afford to eat square me in this country and the man at the center of affair the man at the helm of affairs that precided over the turnaround maintenance Mr. is left alone. You have invited all other players that were part of the uh fraud turnaround maintenance of these two refineries that were part of the fraud deal in application of OVH energy and you are leaving alone Mr. She who was the executive vice president of LMPCN in charge of down stream this country can’t be making more clearly of the fight against of the fight against corruption we can’t be I mean this country we must fix it together that is why we have civil society organization that’s why we have anti-corruption campers and crusaders and we will continue to speak to power we continue to speak to truth that things must be done properly that this country must be matter for all of us. We won’t continue to suffer in abate poverty while some few people are busy hiding away our money living in politing from one place to another. So we are here to seek to compel EFCC to immediately include and investigate Mr. Mr. Kosu in the investigation of the corrupt activities in relation to the two refineries and in relation to the accusation of VH energies that has now taken over the entire um retail outlets of the Nigerian National Petrol Corporation. They cannot pop to EFCC cannot proper to be fighting corruption or investigating anything that has to do with these two refineries or with the position of GH energy without investigating and possibly prosecuting Mr. Dosu. But if they do it and if they continue in this direction we are telling them that this democracy will sustain it together. We will always resort to court to seek to enfor some of these basic right. We will continue to rely on the constitutional provisions you know to exercise our freedom as citizens of this country to ensure that corruption is eliminated. And that is why we are calling on the president to immediately suspend Mr. Tosu. He is now the image of corruption in the MPC. He’s even going about meeting one traditional ruler or the other in the southwest to even robbing for the position of the NMPC group managing director. In fact, he even want to take over from his brother and even that is like the reward for corruption in Nigeria should be um promotion elevation. If you perpetrate corruption that that that if you perpetrate corruption that covers the corrupt interest of those in position of authority particularly those in the presidency you know the reward will be possible keeping you in higher position so we are calling on the president to prove himself that is not part of this corruption that is going on in MPC fact I don’t want to remember the ugly of removal of subsidy that have subjected all of us back to poverty and people are making billions of every day billions of dollars every day in the name of turnaround maintenance and subjecting all of us against poverty. Mr. President, we are calling you to exonerate yourself from this corruption. Just tell us that you were not part of this unportedly because it can’t be vouched that the presidency who is himself the president himself who is the minister of petroleum he is not in the know of whatever activity that is happening in the LMPC and the turnaround maintenance of the two refineries. So the president should immediately suspend this in Mr. Taposu to prove to us that is not part of the corruption that this man perpetrated and EFCC should have the political will. EFCC should be independent. Nobody should be dictating for EFCC who to rape and who to go on purported investigation and prosecution. You can’t be purportedly investigating these two refineries and leaving Mr. who was directly in charge of the downream you know behind the scene. So we are telling Mr. President if Mr. Toshu is not protecting your corrupt interest you should do the needful suspend them immediately and let the EFCC do their work thoroughly investigate all the key actors in this corruption that has kept Nigerians in act poverty. We will continue to fight within the hands of the law. We continue to advocate we continue to aditate that this must be done right in this country no matter who is not. And where we find that the people at the helm of affairs do not have the political will to sincerely and truly fight corruption we resort to court like we have done today. We have res to court to obtain a manus to compel EFCC where perhaps the presidency will not allow EFCC to arrest and investigate Mr. We are here to obtain a lot of mandamus to compel the FCC to investigate him and to possib possibly prosecute him alongside every you know that was part of this corruption that has kept us in this poverty that we are suffering together as Nigerians and that is why we are here and we believe that the court will do the we believe that the court is a partner in the fight against corruption. It cannot define
