SODOMA – COMO VOCÊ NUNCA VIU! Novas profecias acontecendo?

Shalom and welcome back to ‘Israel with Aline!’ Today we are back in Sodom because in the last few months, many different phenomena are happening here; from earthquakes, to landslides and also life has been found inside the caves of Sodom. So today is going to be full of adventure and you are going to see all this and much more! So, if you’re ready, let’s get started! And as you know, I don’t have the courage to go into the caves of Sodom by myself, so I want to invite once again Shlomi Lobaton from Hevel Eretz to be here with us, shalom! [Shlomi] Hi, shalom! I’m happy to be with you! Shlomi is an Israeli who speaks a little bit of Portuguese too, and he will lead us through today’s adventure and tell us Shalomi, where are we going to enter the mountain of Sodom? [Shlomi] I’m actually going to enter here. Here? [Shlomi] Yes, here! So guys, let’s literally drag ourselves into Sodom! Guys, I’m looking here now, the place looks even tighter than last time because of all these changes that happened. Last time it wasn’t easy, but at least Shlomi here brought us the safety equipment. So there is only one way to get in here to see life in Sodom, so let’s go! Guys, look here we can already see the cave all made of salt and Shlomi is also coming. Look how beautiful, it is pure salt! Shlomi, how much further is it? [Shlomi] There’s a lot more, but let’s do it slowly, slowly. Let’s do it slowly, so guys now I’ve got a selfie stick here and I’m going to take you to crawl with me, then we continue towards that hole, come on! Guys, I can’t even lift my head to talk to you here that I hit my head on it. There is barely enough room for us to crawl, look here guys! There is barely enough room to crawl, but I am sure it will be worth it! All the walls, everything is made of salt and the salt is sharp so if you don’t take care of yourself you start to get sores, I still have a mark here on my hand, I don’t know if you can see it, from my last time here in Sodom. So besides all the physical effort, you have to really take care with these salt tips that are here everywhere. Just a second guys, we had to change the camera because the other one started to break, the other one started to become completely grainy, with a few dots on the screen, so we changed it, and it is very annoying because the other time we came here in Sodom we also had technical problems with cameras and filming equipment. But before we can understand what is happening nowadays in Sodom we have to start by knowing the history of this place; here in the region was the biblical city of Sodom, also Gomorrah and other cities. And this was a green and beautiful area as the Bible itself tells us: “And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan that it was well watered every where before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as you come to Zoar.” Genesis 13:10 But because of the sins of the people, the city is going to be destroyed! “Then the LORD rained on Sodom and on Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew on the ground. But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.” Genesis 19:24-26 And that is why this region to this day is one of the strangest, most different and extreme places in the world! Here in summer the temperatures can reach 122 degrees! Sodom is a mountain completely made of salt and around here in the region to this day there are sulfur balls that burn with blue fire. Indeed a number of phenomena exist here in the region and they have existed here for the last few thousand years. But in the last few years, changes have started to happen in this region; and so today I have invited Shlomi who is an expert in caves and even more so here in the caves of Sodom and he is going to tell us what changes have happened here. Shlomi, last time I came here with you, for this time I can see that the place looks different, there are different things, what is happening here? [Shlomi] We are inside the mountain and in recent times many earthquakes have happened here, because we are at the meeting of two tectonic plates As they move apart, mini earthquakes are created, which move the mountain and cause collapses and cave-ins. Here we see crumbling parts of the cave, which have collapsed and changed the mountain’s interior. But there have always been earthquakes here, is it new, how is it? [Shlomi] Collapses have happened in the past, but recently it has become much more intense and frequent. Every month or a month and a half landslides happen here. Wow, guys imagine being in this place and the whole earth starts shaking, and it makes sense I mean, the earth shakes and creates vibrations here and the rocks start to crumble and my first thing that’s been going through my mind since I’ve been here is how dangerous it is! [Shlomi] This is very dangerous! A week ago, a rescue unit made a rescue here Some people who believed they knew the cave went in and got lost Their family after a few hours, called the police and they said they had entered the cave but didn’t come out, A special unit came to look for them, but the unit also got lost in here so they saw that there was a problem and called us to look for everyone, because the way in here changes all the time I will show you today where they broke the rocks to open the path that had collapsed a few days before. Imagine the family of these people! Imagine, people came for a walk here and the family realized they entered Sodom and didn’t come out again! Imagine the desperation of the family calling and they had to actually send a team that didn’t make it either. I can imagine! Now that I’m a mother I think about it even more, I mean but I can only imagine the family’s desperation to really know that they were in here, because all this that we are seeing, guys, is not a path with one way in and one way out this is a labyrinth and we are going to keep exploring. So let’s go a little bit further because our goal here today is to find life, right? [Shlomi] Right. So take us on the right path, on the safe path, come on! Just one thing I want to show you guys, look at this crack here we can clearly see that this rock here, this salt rock, it’s detaching so we can imagine that maybe in a future earthquake all this rock here will collapse. ♪ [Shlomi] Look guys, A week ago we came here because the group got stuck because this big rock fell, so we brought hammers and a drill to break the rock and open up a passage so they could escape. And we, who have spent a lot of time in here and know it up close, understood where the problem was and how to open the exit. And being here in Sodom, people, this place has a beauty, but it’s a scary beauty it’s something a little indescribable, every corner you go through is a different landscape, this place is crazy! And here I was passing by and Shlomi showed me, look at this; these are salt crystals and they are shiny, you can’t see them on the camera and they are dark because they are salt mixed with tar. So this is just one of the landscapes that we can see and I’m really trying to convey to you through the camera everything that I’m seeing and everything I’m feeling and I know I can’t express even half of what is happening, but we will do our best to be able to share it with you but really, the word of being here is indescribable! Look here folks, the salt is covered with a very thin layer of sand it is very thin, it seems to be a flour like cornmeal, something very thin, and look here this here folks, it comes here from the mountain itself, between the salt there is a little bit of sand and now this sand is coming loose, separating from the salt and that is why it is here creating this little layer. But we came here today to talk about life in Sodom, or maybe about the lack of life here. Why? When God destroyed Sodom, Gomorrah and the other cities, there was nothing left! Obviously there are no human beings but there are also no animals and no plants, nothing lives in Sodom! And for the people who live here and also for the local scientists, they know this place as a place with no life at all. But for all those who know the Bible, we know about the biblical prophecies. The prophecies that say that the Dead Sea region, which includes Sodom, will one day come back to life. Let’s now listen to this passage: He said to me, “This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, “where it enters the Dead Sea” When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh. Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh So where the river flows everything will live. Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.” Ezekiel 47: 8,9, 12 And Sodom is also mentioned in the prophecies of Ezekiel 16: And your sisters, Sodom with her daughters and Samaria with her daughters will return to what they were before; and you and your daughters will return to what you were before. Ezekiel 16:55 But for all those who pass here through Sodom, who walk through this place everyone looks at this place and says, “How will life come to life in here?” Literally everything is made of salt, the temperatures are extreme, it doesn’t rain, there’s no water, how can there be life here? And so I’ll be very honest with you I got a big scare when Shlomi called me a few weeks ago to tell me that life has started to grow in Sodom, as you can see Sodom is still Sodom but a little bit of life has started in here. And it really is an amazing find, and I now want Shlomi to tell us what is going on and what the scientists are saying about this new discovery. [Shlomi] three months ago I was walking here and looking around I saw something sticking out of the wall and I thought it had gotten stuck here or flown away with the wind, or a storm. I pulled it out and the moment I pulled it out I felt like I was pulling up grass then I realized that I found something still unknown something that made no sense. Then I looked and saw another plant growing and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing! I… My heart exploded! Shlomi, can you take us to where you found these plants? [Shlomi] Yes, of course! So guys let’s go because it’s really unbelievable what’s happening here in Sodom! [Shlomi] Here! The feeling is like touching grass it is so exciting to touch it! I keep searching all the time for more and all the while I look, I see here that a new one completely new! And I keep looking for more. And here is one more, it’s older and so it’s already dried up. Guys, you can see that it is a very small plant, I mean, there are few leaves for those who live in Brazil, we are used to the Amazonian Forest, this looks like nothing. But look at the importance, even if it is just a tiny leaf it’s already a revolution in reality, why? Because there is not to be any life in Sodom! Nothing has grown here for thousands of years, no leaves, no algae, nothing. Nothing grows here, not even moss. And the fact that you find even such a small thing here is already a literally unbelievable thing and my question is: when you found this, what did you do? [Shlomi] At first I could not understand, wow, how strong and special this find was! I left the cave and called the researcher who studied Mount Sodom I told him: I found a plant in the cave! He answered that there was no chance of that happening because nothing lives in the cave And I told him what I found and sent him a video. After the video, he said that maybe the plants came with a storm and just stuck to the wall. But I said no, because I pulled one out and felt it had root, He said it still didn’t make sense, it must be from a storm. But I explained that they were not on the ground but on the walls. And he answered: now the story is getting interesting. It took more than two months to convince them to come and check this out. A week ago I was here with the Weizmann Institute and their research department on plants in extreme situations and they sent their leading expert on photosynthesis to check out what’s here. Because it really doesn’t make sense to have a plant that lives here first a plant that is literally born in salt and the second question is also the total darkness, I mean, now guys you can’t see but we are, each one of us is here with our flashlights, we are with more flashlights here because it is a total darkness, there is no light coming in here. So the question is: How can a plant live here without light and without water? And so the scientists’ first thought really makes sense that maybe it got in the shoe of somebody who was walking around here, it got in through one of the storms that they have here. [Shlomi] No. At the Weizmann Institute they thought that maybe the root came from up there, that the plant was on the mountain and the root came up here, and in this way it would photosynthesize. But this is impossible, because there are two hundred meters of salt rock here and that is why it is so special, because science has never seen anything like it! There are two hundred meters of salt on top of our heads right now and up there there is no plant either, no life in Sodom either inside or outside. [Shlomi] When Dr. Zach Adam was here with me and saw this for the first time, he had a huge smile from ear to ear. He couldn’t believe his eyes! He took a knife and dug into the rock, thinking it was going to be a shallow half centimeter. And he got four centimeters deep into the salt, not all the way to the tip. He took a sample and sent it to the Weizmann Institute to be analyzed to find out what this is. They still can’t understand what this plant is. So guys, you are hearing this news here first hand, I mean, no media in Brazil know about it yet, but the scientist took it to Marron Weizmann, which is one of the one hundred best universities in the world they are now with this plant in their lab, and probably, this is not a quick thing but probably in the next few months we will receive a scientific article proving what is happening here and if there really is life in Sodom. [Shlomi] For me is very important to give you the opportunity to see something rare, that never happened. One of the reasons why we are here is also of course because of the Biblical prophecies, we can look at every scientific aspect and the scientific aspect is being worked on, I mean, the scientists at Marron Weizmann are analyzing this and we can look at this discovery in two ways; the first is really in the hands of the scientists, something that seemed impossible has happened. But we can also look at something that seemed impossible that is happening but that was already written in the Bible more than 2.600 years ago, the destruction of Sodom, the destruction of the whole region of the Dead Sea changed the history of Israel and the Bible told us that this place will come back to life and we started to see many phenomena in the last months and the last years that point to something that is happening, so it is a matter of faith. I cannot convince everybody to take the Bible and believe in it, but for all those who believe in the Bible, believe in the pages of the Bible, they can see that there is something happening here. So we saw together the Bolaines, which are freshwater craters next to the Dead Sea, where the Dead Sea is and inside of them there are fish. I mean, we already have the fish, we have fruit trees, we have date palms, we have so much happening here in the region that I think we are in a very special moment in history. And for this I thank Shlomi who is also leading this revolution and helping scientists to see what is written in the pages of the Bible.
